So it was the beginning of a new era. Otherkin had come out into the world, announcing their presence at the heart of Otherkin society in Apocaleptika. Prince Damon Vincent, someone who thought he was in control of the city, but was truly in charge of nothing.
Damon was having a little party to celebrate. Ramiel had made a point of making sure that he showed up. Everyone who was anyone would be there, and it would not do for the One True God, the Blood God to not show up and be present when the world started to undergo the biggest change it had undergone in Ions.
Ramiel went to the dining area and got himself a drink. Noone had noticed that he was there yet. Damon and his family were a little slow after all and so into the party that it never occured to them that Ramiel would come and crash it.
A matte black SUV pulled up in the back of the the venue. The door opened and out stepped a long heeled red bottom boot. After that came a rush of blue and black fabric as a lithe and delicate woman stepped from the car. She wore the robes of a cult mage though your average human would just think she was outlandish. But, of course her cult robe was blue and black, this was Morgan after all, she had to stand out.
Gently she reached into the car and began pulling another form from the backseat. One that reluctantly came out of the car. Dressed in silver dress shirt and black pants the person who got out was a bit Mundane compared to the woman. Though his face was obscured behind an intricate white mask and his hands were bound in small black chains.
Morgan grabbed the man's arm and began dragging him towards the back door of the venue and knocked. A slot slid open and Morgan rolled her eyes before it slid shut and the door opened. Morgan dragged the man through the house and up the stairs throwing him in a red bedroom and locking the door.
Going downstairs she quickly went to look for Damon and when she found him she took a deep breath. Morgan believed herself more worthy of a higher status in the cult. She didn't like answering to Damon. "Damon, Ramiels next 'gift' is locked in the red room..." The witch smirked.
Damon made his way over to Morgan, feeling somewhat bad about turning anyone over to Ramiel. He knew the man boasted of a bite that could kill people. He had seen people die at Ramiel's hands before, and he knew that it was quite possible that this tribute, whom Damon did not know would die because of him. He did not want to think about it.
"Thank you Morgan." Damon said to the witch, trying not to show his disdain. "I'm going to head to the red room and make sure you did this all right. After all, you cannot be trusted in your own back yard." Damon said, insulting Morgan. Mostly because he was in a bad mood, and for no other reason than that.
Damon made his way into the Red Room to see the sacrifice for Ramiel, and his eyes went wide. "You, I thought you were gone. Devan and Stefan told me that you were delivered to the cult, and that they gave you to Ramiel years ago. Damn it, I'm sick of everyone playing games with our lives."
Theo paced around the room lifting his hands and struggling to remove the stupid mask the witch had put on him, tossing it on the bed. She didn't want anyone to see his face before the ritual and Theo didn't know why. She could pit it back on when she came back. Theo only knew so much, but Morgan wasn't actually allowed to lay a hand on him, being the sacrifice that he was.
For a moment Theo had flash backs of the stone altar table where the grooves had often run red with his blood on his ritual days. The priests had spent a very long time preparing him. Theo's soul had to remain clean and pure of corruption, as well as his blood. It took various blood rituals and beyond harsh discipline to achieve whatever the fuck It was they though Theo needed to be. Honestly he didn't know why they didn't just toss him to the blood God.
He felt an odd burning tingle in one of his two differently colored eyes. Rubbing it with the back of his hand he shook his head. Years and Years of pain and agony just to die. But that pain and agony made him holier. Apparently...
The door opened and he about jumped out of his skin. Theo looked up at the man, he looked over and remembered that his mask was on the bed then back at Damon. Shit. But as the man's face registered the 'intruders', Theos face fell. A surge of emotion came over him as memories of Damon he'd believed were simply dreams flooded his mind.
"I've dreamed of you... You know me too? I'm confused... I spent all my life being prepared for the blood God. How do I have memories of us being uh, rather close, or dreams or whatever they are? What's going on?"
Damon's heart sank. "He never let's you remember. The bastard." Damon looked towards his bride, star crossed lovers though they were, and sighed deeply. "Theo you and I, we loved each other. We were married. It is not just a dream, it is a memory. I cannot believe this is happening again. Every time I think I have lost you, I find you, only to lose you again. And you never remember me."
The door to the back room suddenly opened, and Stefan stepped inside. "Damon we need to get ready for the party, you can do this later, we---" Stefan's voice lowered as his eyes went wide with shock. "You--you are alive."
"I was going to tell you our guests are here, but it seems we have a guest who is a lot more important than anyone else." Stefan and Theo were only spiritually married but not technically in love or had exhanged vows, but he felt the connection in their souls, because of the fact that he and his brothers were one in spirit."
"We cannot hand him over." Stefan said, suddenly speaking his peace. "It's decided. We have to set him free, and we have to let him go. We will find Ramiel another sacrifice. I wont let him slip away from us again."
There was a good minute before Theos eyes shot open. "You're Damon.... You're Damon-" he said with a start. Then he looked up at the two and pointed at the named brother. He made a frustrated motion with his hands. "I know that- you're the prince of the city but so does everyone... I know that, our first date we went to the aquarium and you were spooked by the big fish swimming over us in the tunnel. It was really... cute."
He motioned to the other brother. "And you're Stefan, I know that because you and I were more like close friends than anything, you taught me Latin if i remember"
He suddenly got up and ran to Damon wrapping him in a tight squeeze of a hug. Then Stefan. What Theo didn't realize was Morgan's dulling seal on his memories had started to wither now that the man had face to face with the brothers. He stepped back and looked at them. "Thats really all I've got that I can string together right now... For some reason, the other brother is like a black shadow on my memory..."
"I remember you, but I don't know what good it does... That witch will tell Ramiel if you switch me with another person.. Then he'll kill you, us probably."
"Besides how long do we really have before he expects me to be delivered?"
The look on Stefan's face got a little somber as Theo talked about remembering Damon and Stefan but not recalling much if anything at all about Devan.
"It's probably a blessing that you do not remember much." Stefan said. "We have been having issues with Devan. He doesn't live here. He tried to kill Damon even. We have had fights but nothing has ever gone that south. Ever. And Samuel, he left a long time ago. His time in a female body really fucked him up. And he has some memories of being in love, though he does not remember with who. And Samantha. Damon tell him."
"Serena is dead. We do not know who killed her yet but we are working on it. So things have been very bad around here for quite some time. One sibling dead, another tried to kill us, and now this. Morgan does not scare me though, and Ramiel. Well fuck Ramiel. He is not going to get you. I wont let it happen." Damon declared.
Theo was reeling from all the information as the two brothers spoke of what had happened the Vincent family and how it had all but fallen apart. "She's, dead? And Sam just left?" He shook his head before holding it in his hands. He made an upset noise and slammed his fist on the soft mattress. "Annnd Devans still quite literally traumatized to the point of madness."
"I still don't quite understand why Ramiel is doing this to us... I feel like it's my fault. He keeps coming after me." He sighed and rubbed his shoulders. "I'm just a fragile human this time you guys, he made me weak-" Theo sounded a little misty eyed.
"I don't know what to do, you can sneak me out of this room easily enough. Surely Ramiel knows I'm not dead. We might have a small window of time if we can just get out before he comes to collect. I mean there's no way he knows it's me for this ritual specifically."
Theo got up and began pacing a bit. "Morgan brought me in the back way, as long as the coast is clear we should be able to just go back out that way right?" He placed his hand on the doorknob trying to open it and peek through the crack.
As the door slowly creaked open, Ramiel used a blast of his demonic power to blow it off the hinges, knocking Theo, Stefan and Damon back against the nearby wall. He decided that he needed to make a dramatic entrance.
Ramiel rushed forward, grabbing Damon by the throat. "You're not afraid of me are you? Fuck Ramiel huh? I would tear out your throat but that would be way too easy on you. I'm going to make you wish you were dead."
Stefan backed away hoping that Ramiel would forget he was there. It did not work.
"And you..." Ramiel back handed Stefan, trying to make an impression. "I have let you boys play house for far too long. It's time that changed."
Ramiel stood starring in Theo's direction, waiting to see how he would respond, but did not stalk forward yet.
Theo yelped as he was blasted back, hitting a wall and getting the wind knocked out of his poor human body. He quickly scrambled backwards and away from the blood God into a corner to regain his senses.
But, Ramiel was moving on the brothers already. Theo held his breath as the Blood God picked up Damon, each word out of the man's mouth causing him to cringe. When Ramiel backhanded Stefan though Theo actually flinched.
Theo quickly stood, feeling bruised from his impact. "Stop it! Don't hurt them- Haven't you done enough to them already!?" He cried out. "I don't know why you're doing this exactly, maybe I did but I don't remember... What I do remember is it seems that your problem has something to do with me so why keep involving them?" He did his best to look Ramiel in the eyes and hold his gaze.
Ramiel was more amused than angry at Theo for daring to stand up to him, and the look on his face made that quite clear. The toothy grin. "Everyone seems to forget how easily I can kill them. It cannot possibly be that they do not care, they are just plain stupid. It has been awhile since I have shown my creation the full extent of my power. They need to experience it again I think, lest they forget"
With that, Ramiel backhanded Theo, hitting him hard enough that he would be knocked out. When Theo woke up he would be chained up in the Vincent dungeon, but at the same time, so where Stefan, and Damon.
"I would have brought Devan along for the ride but given that he does not care about you anymore, and you do not remember him, it seemed like a waste of my valuable time." Ramiel said as he walked over towards the suspension cuffs where Theo was hanging, he grabbed him by the back of the head. "Good morning, Theo. How's the head?"
Theo saw Ramiels hand coming but as a human he was too slow to get out of the way. The blow struck him and he saw stars quickly crumbling to the floor as his vision faded to black and his face ached.
-----
Theo awoke with a start unsure of where he was but aware of the pain in his head and arms. He pulled his head up and Ramiels voice finally overcame the ringing in his ears. The Bood God's form finally took shape in his vision. He blinked and then perked around in his chains spotting the two others.
"Damon! Stefan!" He turned back just as his captor grabbed the back of his head causing him to shriek In pain. "Please Ramiel, why are you doing this? Why do you keep bringing us back to slaughter us all over again? What do you want?" He asked meekly. Theo whimpered as Ramiel held onto him and his arms ached in the irons.
Ramiel slowly approached Theo, brushing long golden blonde hair off of his face. If one did not know better one would think they were dealing with an angel, and yet he was a monster. He was a monster with an obsession, one that would not easily die. The look on the Blood Go's face was cold as ice.
"You just do not get it, do you, Theo?" Ramiel said as he reached out to touch Theo's face. It's you I want its always been you. But you ignored my advances. Never even gave me a chance. You acted like I was nothing but chopped liver. I get what I want, and what I want, is you." Ramiel took sharp claws and sliced into Theo's face with them, and the blood that came from the wound, he brought to his lips. "A taste of you has never been enough."
Theo watched the beautiful man approach, a shiver running down his spine. When Ramiel touched his face he whimpered a little bit. As Ramiel talked Theo listened and looked up at him in shock. "Me?-" As the man kept talking though the human felt a cold feeling in his gut.
As the Blood God's hand flashed across his face, Theo let out a pained scream of agony as he felt the blood fly. His face turned pink as he watched Ramiel lick the blood off his hand, glaring in the man's direction. Tears welled up in Theos eyes as what his captor said settled in his mind. This had all happened because Ramiel was lusting for him? In what capacity?
"Ramiel please- don't hurt them because I can't take a hint. I care about you. I just didn't think it was fair to ask Damon and, Devan? To share when I was already engaged to the two of them... So, are you gonna kill us again?" Theo looked at the Blood God with an expression to mask his fear. He had to hide it from Ramiel.
In truth Ramiel scared the hell out of him, he was trying to think of a way out of this. The other feeling that scared him was one of guilt. He won't break me, he can't. So what is it he wants, my body, my blood? I'm not going to give him anything. Theo thought to himself.
Ramiel looked at Theo as if he had lost his ever loving mind. He was thinking boldly, too boldly, as if Ramiel were not a god, an entity of intense power, and could not read his every thought. Ramiel looked as if he were going to strangle Theo, but than he had an idea. A much better idea.
"You aren't going to give me anything. You are going to give me everything." Ramiel explained to Theo.
"We just have a few more people to get to the Vincent Manor tonight. It should not be a problem. A family dinner hosted by the true head of the household, me. Everyone is invited. When you wake up I hope you are hungry. Because I know I am."
Ramiel backhanded Theo again, knocking him out, and made sure that he acted fast to get everything exactly the way he wanted it.
When Theo woke up he would see the exact same table Damon had turned him on in another life, beginning a love story that Ramiel hated had ever been told so much he had done everything in his power to destroy the book.
The table, huge long and ornate, was spread out before everyone in the exact same manner that Damon had done, except for the fact the triplets, who were in the room, were each chained to the floor underneath the chairs so they had no choice but to attend. A few seats were empty, and a couple of Ramiel's servants lead in Samuel forcing him to have a seat next to Serena, his dead sister. Decay had started to set into her body at this point, but you could still see it was her. Samuel's eyes were wide, and he was shaking.
Ramiel sat at the head of the table, and he called out towards the back door. "Bring in the guest of honor would you?"
Samuel looked up in the direction of the men that were bringing into Theo. "Ramiel you are a son of a bitch."
When he saw it was the Vincent families greatest enemy, the Dragomir family that was bringing Theo into the room.
Nikolai Dragomir, the head of the enemy household, carried the unconscious Theo over to the table and tossed him down onto it like a rag doll, watching as he started to open his eyes.
Theo vaguely woke up as Nikolai carried him into the room. Though he let out a soft groan as he was dropped onto the table like a sack of potatoes. His eyes began to flutter open, his vision swirling as his surroundings came into focus. It was then that he came face to face with Serenas body and cried out with a start. "Oh my god-!" He quickly looked around the room spotting the triplets then Samuel before he looked down at the table and gasped. He remembered his blood running through the grooves in the wood, the first time... "You recreated-" Theo placed hands over his face shaking a bit.
"You're sick-!" Theo accused his captor.
The last person to come into the room was Morgan holding a black carved obsidian box in one hand and her tall black metal staff in the other.
"It is said the killing of a sacred deer is the most sinful and indulgent rite to take part in." She grinned darkly. "I for one can't wait to bear witness" The changeling smiled wickedly. She walked over giving Ramiel a curt nod before she set the black box on a side table.
Theo moved to try and stand up off the table so he could reason with the blood God. "Please don't do this- I'll go to a room with you- just don't make my family watch this-" he pleaded.
Theo wondered just what hell Ramiel was planning. He was going to give the blood God everything? What did that mean?
Ramiel turned over in the direction of Morgan and smiled. "You brought the box. Good." The Blood God walked over and carefully took the box, started to carefully open it, and revealed a lage ornate red stone inside.
"You probably think I mean to turn you into a vampire. It would make sense you would think so. This looks like a recreation of that night with Damon, but I am not recreating that night, as you can see, I am one upping Damon here."
Ramiel used his magical abilities to transform the stone into a long onyx handled blade and started walking over to where Theo was laying. "This is going to be so much fun."
Theo looked with wide eyes as Ramiel moved over to the box and opened it. "What the hell is that-?" Theo asked weakly as The Blood God withdrew the stone. As it seemed to transform into a blade with a flash though Theo lurched away from Ramiel. 'What exactly are you planning here!? Y-you can't kill me, you'll just have to start over again!" Theo cried out.
In the background Morgan seemed to have a troubled expression. Even he wasn't quite sure what Ramiel would do so he focused on that stone and it's energy. That was when she recalled a familiar feeling from past memories and her eyes went wide.
"Ramiel, that isn't-?"
If it was what she thought it was the blood God was truly insane.
Ramiel gave a toothy grin to Morgan. "Yes this is what you think it is, Morgan." He said to her, smiling almost sweetly. "You will give everything to me Theo, body mind life and soul. You will die for me. You will be mine in every sense of the word, and this time I will not need to start over again, because I will have you right where I want you."
Damon suddenly lost his shit. "Ramiel, no, you can't, Theo! Devan do something. Stop him. We have to. He can't==="
Devan looked over in the direction of Ramiel as he stood over Theo, blade in hand. Devan looked uninterested however. This pissed off Damon even more.
"Oh I am going to kill both of you when I get loose from these restraints." Damon promised.
Stefan held his composure better than anyone except for Devan who did not seem to care. "The Blood is the life." Stefan said, as if that should explain everything.
Theo looked at the blade and struggled against his bindings. "What the fuck is it!?" He asked again desperately.
"Ramiel, surely you realize your plan is worse than not having him at all!?" Morgan tried to reason desperately. But Theo was thinking. If anyone could get free it had to be one of the triplets but which one. Damon was far too emotional. It wracked Theo with grief to see his soul mate cry as he looked at him trying to mouth words of love through the chaos.
Stefan was the rational one, but he seemed, reserved almost? Theo couldn't tell what he was thinking but the man didn't seem as bothered as he should. And Devan, well... Rage flared inside Theo looking at the one triplet who had never come back to him.
In that moment Theo let out a cry of rage. "Devan! Youre- youre- you're a pussy! You're too afraid to feel your god damn feelings so you coil them up inside until they're so suppressed you let Ramiel manipulate them into a tumor in your fucking brain! I'll tell you something, if there were a reward for little bitches who are too afraid of their daddy to be happy then you'd be front runner babe!" Theo spat with Venom like he never had before unloading his emotions into every word, hoping for anything out of the most wild, reckless yet cold and calculating brother.
Devan, who had been lost in a cold dark place in his own mind, felt something strike him with those words. He started clawing his way back out, to Theo. There was rage and pain and hurt and love and everything and nothing all in those words.
"How dare you, you little ingrate." Devan said as he pulled himself lose from the restraints, using strength he did not even know he had to do so. Strained and pained sounds coming from him.
Devan pulled himself loose and leapt onto of Ramiel, pulling the blade from his maker's hands, and stabbing Ramiel in the eye with the thing. While there was a shriek coming from the Blood God, Devan moved over to his mate, and placed the blade against his throat. "How dare you, say such things to me." He cut him ever so slightly, and the blood started to flow.
Theo watched with wide eyes as the chains around Devan began to groan and whine around his muscular form. When they started snapping Theo had to stop from smiling. It had worked, or something had worked anyway.
Theo yelped as his mate got up and tackled the blood God stabbing him in the eye.
Morgan seized the opportunity to run over to where Samuel was sitting and wrapped her arms around him bringing his head to her breast.
"I'm sorry, I love you, but I can't put you through what could come next-" She said. She pulled his face up to look at her and in that moment her form began to shift and change to that of a Morgan who was much more familiar to Sam.
Softly Morgan whispered a sleep spell on his lover to spare his mind whatever was to come.
Morgan flicked his wrist causing the chains around the triplets to turn to dust.
"It's now or never, he's weak, kill the Blood God!" Morgan shouted and raised his staff swinging it and sending a beam of magic at Ramiel.
Theo swallowed a lump as Devan held the blade to his throat, whimpering as he felt it cut his skin. "Devan please, I know you're in there, you know you're in there. Come back to me, us. Please. You won't kill me." Theo leaned up planting his lips on Devan's.
Devan did not notice Morgan's transformation into his regular form. He was oblivious in that moment to anything but the fact that Theo had enraged him. The taste of Theo's lips on his, it should have stirred longing and love within him. Anything except what it did.
"You thought you knew me. You thought I was kind, loving, and gentle and all the things you needed when Damon was fucking you over. But I am not. I am anything but what you believe me to be. I am in here. You brought me out. Be careful what you wish for, my love. You just might get it."
With that Devan raised the blade above Theo's heart and when Stefan and Damon both realized what Devan, the good one was about to do, the both struggled against the bonds, Damon freeing himself first, Stefan second, and they both made a mad dash towards Devan to stop him. But they were too late. The blade came down on Theo, stabbing him in the heart.
Morgan shot off another withering spell at his master the blood God before he realized no one had come to his call. So he turned his head.
That was when Devan brought down the knife with the other two running towards them.
Theo let out a deafening scream as the obsidian blade penetrated him all the way to the heart. Theo choked and spasmed for a moment before the knife suddenly began to break down into viscous liquid, flowing into the wound Devan had crested.
An even more haunting straggling scream of agony left the human as he spit up more and more blood that began to drip on the floor.
Eventually Theo just stopped moving. The blood didn't stop flowing however creating a big puddle filling the sound of silence in the room.
Minutes passed with Theos seemingly lifeless body laying on the table dripping blood. Until the blood began to ripple.
Suddenly from the impossibly large puddle an arm shot out then another and the set began to haul themselves out of the liquid. After a few moments a nude figure bathed in red stood in the middle of the room. Gently it closed its eyes and put its palms together. The man seemed so familiar but obscured to almost everyone in the room.
Then it spoke in Theos Voice
"Rejoice!" It cried. "The time of enlightenment is upon us my friends. All shall bathe in his crimson glory and rejoice in the scarlet gospels."
The figure pointed to the body on the table which dissipated into more blood before all the sanguine fluid in the room began to flow through the grooves of the stone and up his legs. It wrapped around him until bandages like that of a mummy coiled partiallybaround his body and formed a hood.
"I am his hands and he is my body, all is one with infinity under the Sanguine rite. Pain and pleasure are mine to give. Experience it all."
Theo rose into the air and spread his arms. Barbed wire began to flow out of cracks in the wall wrapping around the limbs and torso of every person in the room aside from Theo and Ramiel.
Ramiel was among the few in tha room that realized what had been unleashed. The Harbinger, the one to bring in the end of all things, and the beginning of a new era. What he saw in that moment was the thing he had feared all along, and he hoped that he had the power to stop this. It might even take the power of the entire Triad, something that had not been used since the created rites of the lesser races, but Ramiel had to try.
"Fuck Devan what did you just do? You don't have the power to control creation. Thanks to you, you idiot, I'm not even sure that I do anymore." Ramiel tried not to show his fear in that second, and glared at Theo and commanded. "Stand down. Now."
Theo smiled sickly at the blood God. His eyes dark shimmering voids.
"No child of blood. You know why I'm here... To save them all... From you. You've been playing with the delicate fabrics of reality far too recklessly. You are a waking hell and the gods grow tired. I grow tired."
Theo hugged himself and closed his eyes with an expression almost like ecstasy.
"I shall embrace each and every life, even if my path leads me to devilry. I will unwind the laws of this reality and weave them annew."
"... and you won't stand in my way ancient one." With a flash Theo was in front of his creator and his hand punched into his chest wrapping around his heart. He leaned into Ramiels face speaking with pity.
"Do you know what it's like, I wonder, to have your heart ripped out, and then regrown, then ripped out again? Do you know what it's like to be killed over and over again for love?" In another flash Theo was feet away again licking blood from his fingers.
"It is no matter, you shall all become one with me in the end." He smirked and in a shift of shadow The Harbinger was gone.
The barbed wire disappeared releasing all it's captives and Morgan dropped to the ground, crawling over to Samuel.
"Ramiel what the were you thinking? What was that?"
Morgan asked.
Ramiel looked up from where he was hunched over on the floor. A moment before Theo hand literally held his heart in his hands. Before he had only done so symbolically but this, was something else entirely, this moment where he very nearly had had his heart ripped from his chest.
Morgan, while standing protectively next to Samuel, asked him the million dollar question. What the hell had he done?
What was that?
"Are you familar with the Creation Rites Morgan?" A female voice interjected, as Linarael the Fae Queen stepped into the room with an Angelic figure. "My brother here was trying to do the Creation Rites, making a sacrifice of Theo to remake the world in his own image. It failed because Devan lost his shit and tried to kill his mate. He succeeded, well sort of.
Theo died and was resurrected as the Habinger. Ramiel created exactly the thing that he has feared since the beginning, his own end."
Cassiel moved over towards where Ramiel was standing on one knee, and helped his brother up. "She want's to throw you throw a brick wall right now you know, brother."
Morgan had to exercise great strength as he recognized the voice that came into the room. Sure he and Linarael weren't actively enemies this time around, but he still didn't like her.
He listened to the explanation with a flat expression, taking a moment every so often to pet his lovers sleeping head. "Oh great so Ramiel took the apocalypse and put it inside Theo and you guys are just showing up now!?"
He lay Sam down gently and stood up looking the three progenitors in the eyes. "So what do we do? How do we stop him- C-can we get Theo back?"
-----
The Harbinger appeared miles away in a quiet hospital. If there was one thing that still governed all of Ramiels worlds, it was death, and the fear of it. Dying meant something to everyone
He couldn't think of much of a better way to piss Ramiel off than to turn his worlds laws upside down. He wanted that man to pay for fucking with the world so much. It was his turn.
Nurses and orderlies approached him but he simply put them to sleep. As much as it would've been easier to send them to Nirvana there and then, he really wanted to fuck with his creator.
He heard crying and sensed suffering down the hall. Following his instincts the dark one went into a room with women and children crying over a male figure. The man was young, but Theo could feel his heart was very weak.
Walking in, the woman screamed and shielded her children as the Harbinger walked up to the dying man. Theo held a hand out and a dark shadow tendril struck out from his palm into the patients chest. The man sat up with a Choking gasp for air.
"Nirvana is coming, no sense in keeling over now." With that he left the room.
That night breaking news story after story would hit the media waves. People who were dying, suddenly weren't.
Everything had unfolded rather quickly, with Stefan and Damon being unable to stop Devan from stabbing Theo. Devan had had the intention of killing his mate, and just because he had been unsuccessful did not mean he was forgiven.
When the dust settled finally, and the Harbinger had released them all from the barbed wire, Damon and Stefan for a moment seemed to contemplate what to do.
"I'm going to kill you, you son of a bitch." Damon said to Devan as he rushed him, only to find Cassiel stepping in between him and Damon in order to prevent exactly that.
When Stefan suddenly stated. "You'll have to get in line." The Fae Queen knocked Stefan back onto his ass effortless and then Ramiel looked to both of them in awe, not knowing what to say or do about the problem he caused.
Linarael turned her gaze in the direction of Morgan and said. "We must do the Creation Rites again. This means we have to sacrifice someone in order to do it. It is the only way I know of to undo the damage my idiot of a brother did." She sighed and said. "I don't suppose I have any volunteers?"
Morgan continued to shoot each member of the triad a glare. Firstly Cassiel was the most tolerable bit Morgan saw him as a narcissistic layabout who only stepped in when convenient. He found Linarael and Ramiel basically insufferable all together.
When Linarael proposed her idea Morgan's eyes went wide. "No no no, we're not giving the triad another soul to torment just because you three can't keep a hold on your own worlds. If anyone should die for this it should be Devan or Ramiel, they're the ones at fault here." The mage spat.
Just then the TV in a nearby room started to buzz with loud static.
"Now, is this thing on?" Came the harbingers voice as he appeared on a local hijacked news broadcast. Bodies strung about behind him.
"Ahhh, there we are! Hello hello my children... Attention Apockaleptika! It is I the bringer of the end times. As you may have noticed things around the city have been getting rather odd.
Let me assure you it's all going to get worse! Now now now my flesh bags do not fret for I offer salvation.
Now it is true, this world is ending. But I'm not a complete monster! I'd love to send you all somewhere nice! A Nirvana perhaps. A place where humans and otherkin will thrive and live peacefully and happily.
But, it order to do that I need more."
He cackled a bit.
"Here's the deal. If you masses don't want to go out with a bang when the world does, bring me three things. The blood of Ramiel, and lots of it, The Tongue of her highness the fae queen herself, and the wings of the weeping angel Cassiel. Do that and Nirvana is waiting for all of you. Or if you think you've got a shot, bring them to me alive."
He leaned into the monitor and gave his invisible audience a wicked grin.
"And a special message for the Vincent triplets. This invitation extends to you. Aren't you tired of the triad fucking with your lives, Damon, Devan, Stefan? Work with me and they won't be able to again... Well except for Devan. I'm probably going to just eat his soul.
Anyway you've got some thinking to do apockaleptika... You, or the triad? I'll be waiting for your answer at the top of the tallest building in the city." Dark Theo gave the camera a wave. "Evil dreams my children." He bid everyone before the broadcast ended.
Cassiel looked up at the television while Theo made his demands, and then looked over at Ramiel and Devan and said. "You two idiots really screwed up. Now he is after me, and that is unacceptable."
"My tongue. He actually asked for my tongue?" Linarael replied, laughing out loud at the irony of it. "I have been told I have quite the mouth but---"
Ramiel sighed. "So his plan is basically turn the world against us, stop death, and send everyone to Nirvana."
"That almost sounds good. Except we know that the new age he ushers in will not be anything good. He is tainted by that Lake of Blood." Stefan replied. He picked himself up off the ground, and they all looked over at Devan.
"This is bullshit, I am leaving. I am not going to stand around and listen to everyone blame me for this." Devan replied as he started storming off.
Morgan was watching the broadcast with gritted teeth. It was a conundrum, what Theo proposed sounded good, and the triad needed to be held for their irresponsibility as of late. Whatever Theo had planned though couldn't be good if this harbinger was more evil than the triad was neutral, they'd be in a lot of trouble.
As everyone turned to look at Devan and the man began to storm off Morgan suddenly teleported in front of him and gave the man a hard slap against the cheek.
"You're not going anywhere... You really don't get it do you? Theo felt that way about you because you made him"
"In both senses of the word. You sire bonded him to you in the past and then played all nice til he fell in love. Ever since then you've just tortured his heart. He never gave Ramiel a chance because he had already asked Damon and YOU to share. You made that man fall helplessly in love with you to the point he married you. He married you, he married Damon, and because he thought you loved him he held off on his feelings for Ramiel." Morgan looked him sternly in the eyes.
"You decided to play games with people's hearts leading Ramiel to reset the world twice! The end of this world won't just be your fault, so will the last two! All the pain and suffering wrought on you these last two lives has been your own damn fault so quit feeling bad for yourself."
Morgan looked around the room. "And as much as much as I'd like to see the triad learn a lesson, I don't want to live in Dark Nirvana."
"I have an idea, Theo has a strong soul that probably fighting for everything it's got right now. If we can separate the soul from the evil surrounding it we might have a chance. I think with our combined efforts we could seal the evil away without having to sacrifice anyone."
After Morgan had revealed his plan, talking about the best option for them to deal with Theo and the looming Apocalypse, Cassiel spoke, taking the lead, stating that they would get together as a Triad and seal the evil inside Theo until they could come up with a way to get rid of it completely.
The three members of the Triad, led by the eldest, Cassiel, confronted Theo while he was on the news, and the Triad spoke an incantation that would at least temporarily protect the world from the Harbinger. They purchased a new dawn for the world, and noone even had to die this time.
The Vincent family was a mess currently. Even before the Creation Rites had been worked between Theo under the blade of Devan Vincent, Devan had tried to literally kill Damon, Serena Vincent was dead, Everyone was fighting, and without a doubt the last thing Theo needed was to be in the presence of any of them.
Father Frank Callahan understood this, and the Unitarian priest came, and announced he was taking Theo back with him whether his family liked it or not, and he was going to have him under his protection.
Currently Frank was reading in the guest room, while Theo lay sound asleep. He was undoubtedly going to be a mess when he woke up. Frank however was prepared.
